Chartered or Certified Financial Planners

Financial Planners are the face of Buckingham Gate. You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients who will expect the very highest level of service. Qualified to level 6 already, you will be keen to take on additional qualifications in specialist areas, with our support. All Buckingham Gate Financial Planners are fully employed and enjoy a generous benefits package, in addition to a mature working environment and flexible hours. Full Paraplanning and administration support will be provided, as will an expenses and car allowance.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Buckingham Gate clients, providing the high quality, attentive service that they have come to expect.
  • Work with a team of para-planners to produce high quality financial planning reports and advice for our clients.
  • Work with our network of professional connections to build the Buckingham Gate brand and add to your client base.
  • Participate in other business development activities.
The Individual
  • Qualified to Level 6, Chartered or Certified.
  • Additional specialist qualifications are preferred, but not essential.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting individual.
  • The ability to work independently from a home office environment or from our London base.
  • Positive about working flexible hours to suit our clients.
  • Successful track record of providing high quality financial planning advice to high net worth individuals, businesses and trustees.

Paraplanners

Paraplanners are an integral part of the Buckingham Gate team. Working to support a team of financial planners, you will be responsible for the technical research that underpins our recommendations to clients, as well as the production of engaging financial planning reports. Qualified to level 4, you will have ambitions to progress your professional qualifications with our support. You will have the desire to progress into a lead Paraplanner role or to become one of our Financial Planners. In addition to flexible working hours and a generous benefits package, you will receive a competitive basic salary and the opportunity to share in the firms success.

Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct vigorous research and due diligence on the investment options available to our clients.
  • Assist a team of Financial Planners to create suitable recommendations for their clients and communicate those recommendations in engaging reports.
  • Manage the application process for our clients and keep them informed throughout.
  • Liaise with investment providers to obtain valuations and other pertinent information for our clients.
  • Manage enquiries from our clients and respond to requests in a timely manner.
The Individual
  • Qualified to Level 4 diploma standard.
  • Desire to progress to Chartered or Certified or take other specialist qualifications with our support.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ambitions to become a lead Paraplanner or join the Financial Planning team.
  • Positive about working flexible hours to suit our clients.
  • The ability to work independently from our base in London.
